Staffing Philosophy and Goals
At the International School of Panama, we are committed to delivering educational programs of the highest standard within the scope of available resources, relying on the expertise of our professional staff and the essential support of those who directly contribute to our learning mission.
Our school wishes to employ quality professional staff and to retain the services of such personnel for the betterment and improvement of the educational objectives of the school.
The Board of Trustees believes that professional development opportunities are an important part of the school’s philosophy
in hiring and retaining outstanding staff.

Equal Employment Opportunities
We employ based on role requirements, and select people based on their qualifications, skills, and experience.
We do not discriminate on grounds of age, gender, race, national or ethnic origin, language, religion, political beliefs, sexual orientation, or physical ability.

Empowering Growth Through Professional Development
We offer a comprehensive Professional Development (PD) program, thoughtfully aligned with each educator’s role, goals, and departmental objectives. From job-embedded support and collaborative workshops to online training and off-site experiences, our PD model is designed to inspire reflection, innovation, and leadership.
Much of this learning happens through common planning times, faculty meetings, in-service days, and Friday early-release sessions dedicated to staff learning.
At ISP, we believe that continuous learning is a lifelong journey—essential not only for students, but for educators as well.
That’s why we are deeply committed to professional growth and the development of a strong learning culture across all levels of our school.
At ISP, we hire great teachers, and when they leave, they’re even better.
We believe that all educators have both the right and the responsibility to improve their practice. That’s why professional learning is a shared investment between ISP and our staff, and why it remains a core part of who we are as a school.
Whether through division-driven initiatives (ES, MS, HS) or individually applied learning opportunities, every learning journey is encouraged and supported. When our teachers grow, our entire community thrives.
